Shri Birla reaffirmed the government’s resolve to promote “minimum government, maximum governance,” ensuring reduced bureaucratic barriers and a supportive business ecosystem. He urged India’s private sector to increase investments in research and development (R&D) and align with international quality standards. The government, he assured, stands ready to complement such efforts to propel India’s innovation-led growth.
He praised the Bharat Chamber of Commerce for its contribution to India’s industrial and social development over the past 125 years, noting its transformation from the Marwari Chamber of Commerce into a national institution that embodies resilience, foresight, and service to the nation.
Democracy: India’s Pillar of Progress
Highlighting India’s democratic strength, Shri Birla said that democracy in India is not merely a governance model but a way of life embedded in its social fabric. He credited India’s stable and inclusive governance for fostering investor confidence and ensuring long-term economic growth.
“Where democracy thrives, stable governance follows,” he remarked, adding that India’s democratic institutions uphold policy continuity and accountability, key factors that make the country a preferred investment destination worldwide.
Clean and Green Energy: India’s Global Leadership
Calling India a rising global hub for clean and green energy, Shri Birla said the country’s innovations are offering solutions to global environmental and climate challenges. He reiterated the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, urging greater collaboration between government, academia, and industry to build a sustainable, self-reliant economy.
He also expressed confidence that India’s transition to renewable energy sources will not only strengthen domestic growth but also make the nation a global leader in environmental stewardship.

Shri Birla commended the significant rise in women’s participation across sectors, noting that women are playing a pivotal role in India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation. He said, “Women’s engagement in diverse fields reflects the social transformation that is reshaping India.”
He further emphasized the role of youth and entrepreneurs in shaping India’s innovation ecosystem, driving the nation’s growth through creativity, vision, and enterprise.
