The Valedictory Function was graced by Chief Guest Sh. Suresh Prabhu, Former Minister for Commerce and Industry, who praised NIFTEM-Kundli’s pivotal role in driving innovation and highlighted the institute’s 13-year journey in redefining the next generation food pyramid. Guests of Honour, Sh. Asit Gopal, Special Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, and Sh. Sanjay Singhania, Senior Vice President, Haldiram’s Group, emphasized the importance of innovation, knowledge, and entrepreneurship in realizing Viksit Bharat and encouraged the creation of value across the food value chain.
Director of NIFTEM-K, Dr. Harinder Singh Oberoi, outlined the conference’s key achievements, outcomes, and global impact. On the inaugural day, Union Minister for Food Processing Industries, Sh. Chirag Paswan, emphasized technology-driven development to bridge rural-urban divides and advance India’s food processing sector in alignment with the vision of Viksit Bharat–2047.
The conference featured three panel discussions, 113 oral presentations, 115 invited talks, and 226 poster presentations with participation from 25 countries. Topics included Food Innovation, Safety, Traceability, Nutraceuticals, Personalized Nutrition, Functional Ingredients, Sustainable Food Processing, Waste Valorization, Circular Economy, Postharvest Technologies, Alternate Proteins, Plant-Based Foods, Digital Transformation in Supply Chains, and higher education reforms fostering industry-academia collaboration.
A Round Table meeting engaged over 40 Vice Chancellors and Directors from leading academic and research organizations to deliberate academic reforms and skill development needs. The event also hosted a vibrant exhibition of 61 corporates, start-ups, MSMEs, and government departments showcasing sustainable processing technologies and novel food products, attracting entrepreneurs and academics seeking collaborations.
Adding experiential value, ANVESH-2026 organized 22 live cookery shows demonstrating innovative applications of plant-based and nutritionally enhanced foods aligned with sustainability trends. With over 500 registered participants and more than 2,000 visitors, the conference fostered meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange, and partnerships, reinforcing India’s leadership in global food processing and healthy food innovation.
