Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding Tirupati laddu ingredients, Karnataka Muzrai Minister Ramalinga Reddy has announced that all prasada offered at major temples in the state will undergo mandatory testing. Additionally, only Nandini ghee, produced by the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), will be used in the preparation of temple prasada.
This decision follows allegations by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who claimed that substandard ingredients, including animal fat, were used in making the famous Tirupati laddus during the previous YSRCP government.
Union Health Minister JP Nadda has also expressed concern over the issue, speaking to CM Naidu and requesting a full report on the alleged adulteration of prasada. Nadda assured that the matter would be investigated thoroughly, and actions would be taken according to food safety standards.
