Lucknow: The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) has announced the third edition of Kaushal Mahotsav – Lucknow 2025, to be held on 16–17 September at Colvin Taluqdars’ College Grounds. The two-day mega job and skill fair will bring more than 100 reputed companies and institutions under one roof, offering over 7,500 job and apprenticeship opportunities for youth.
The event will be inaugurated in the presence of Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Shri Jayant Chaudhary, and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath. Senior officials from MSDE and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) will also attend.

7,500+ Opportunities Across 20+ Sectors

According to MSDE, this year’s Mahotsav will focus on apprenticeships and future-ready careers. Of the 7,500 opportunities earmarked for Lucknow, more than 6,900 are apprenticeship roles for ITI pass-outs, diploma holders, and graduates. Jobs span across 20+ sectors, including automotive, electronics, logistics, BFSI, healthcare, aerospace, and emerging green jobs.

Several leading Defence Public Sector Units (PSUs) like BHEL, BEL, HAL, BEML, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders, and Hindustan Shipyard Limited will participate, ensuring strong industry presence. Salary packages are expected to range between ₹13,000 and ₹20,000 per month, with several positions offering ₹20,000–₹25,000 or higher.

Interactive Zones and Future Skills

The Mahotsav will feature interactive skill zones where candidates can explore cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, drone operations, electric mobility, and cybersecurity. Visitors can also register for IndiaSkills 2025, paving their way to represent India at the prestigious WorldSkills International Competition.

Speaking about the event, Shri Shreeshail Malge, Joint Secretary at MSDE, said, “Kaushal Mahotsav is not just an employment fair; it is a platform where skills meet opportunity and aspirations meet industry. These initiatives prepare youth not only for today’s workforce but also for the economy of tomorrow.”

Boosting Apprenticeship and Local Industries

Uttar Pradesh has been a frontrunner in promoting apprenticeships, with over 3.21 lakh youth benefitting since 2018–19 under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme. This year alone, 41,940 apprentices have already been placed across sectors such as automotive, BFSI, electronics, and furniture manufacturing.

The Lucknow Mahotsav will align with state priorities like One District One Product (ODOP), MSME clusters in leather and textiles, and investments in defence manufacturing, aerospace, and semiconductors. Initiatives like the Defence Industrial Corridor and the Indian Institute of Skills in Kanpur are also expected to play a major role in equipping the state’s workforce for global opportunities.

A Platform for Aspirations and Opportunities

Officials emphasize that Kaushal Mahotsav is envisioned as a national platform that goes beyond recruitment. It celebrates skills, fosters apprenticeships, and highlights emerging careers. By directly connecting candidates with employers and showcasing advanced skill pathways, the event supports India’s vision of becoming the “Skill Capital of the World” by 2047.

More than 35,000 opportunities have been identified nationally under the Mahotsav initiative, with Lucknow being a key hub this year. The event is expected to attract thousands of young aspirants from across Uttar Pradesh, eager to seize new-age career opportunities.
