Labour Ministry Reports Strong Progress in Special Campaign 5.0

RR Team, October 19, 2025
New Delhi, 19 October 2025 – The Ministry of Labour and Employment has reported significant progress in the first two weeks of Special Campaign 5.0, aimed at improving administrative efficiency, addressing public grievances, and optimizing office spaces across its attached, subordinate, and autonomous organizations nationwide.
The campaign focuses on multiple key objectives: resolving public grievances, expediting PMO references, processing grievance appeals, reviewing physical files, and optimizing office space. During the period from 2nd October to 16th October 2025, the Ministry addressed 39,599 out of 55,113 public grievances, demonstrating a strong commitment to citizen satisfaction.

Efficiency in Handling PMO References and Appeals

Under Special Campaign 5.0, the Ministry processed 521 out of 708 PMO references, ensuring timely attention to matters prioritized by the Prime Minister’s Office. Additionally, 2,002 of 2,479 public grievance appeals have been successfully disposed of, highlighting the Ministry’s dedication to efficient and transparent grievance management.

These achievements reflect the Ministry’s focus on accountability and responsiveness, ensuring that citizens’ concerns are addressed swiftly and effectively.

File Management and Workplace Optimization

As part of procedural improvements, a detailed review of 77,411 out of 2,18,697 files has been completed, contributing to better-organized records and the removal of outdated paperwork. This initiative is designed to streamline office processes and create a more accessible and efficient record-keeping system.

On the environmental front, Special Campaign 5.0 has led to substantial progress in cleanliness and space optimization. Of the 2,289 designated areas, 2,285 sites have been cleaned, and a total of 1,12,691 square feet of office space has been cleared, enhancing the overall workplace environment and promoting a culture of productivity and hygiene.

Creating a Culture of Accountability and Efficiency

Beyond procedural reforms, the campaign seeks to foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and efficiency across all participating organizations. By combining administrative, procedural, and environmental improvements, the Ministry aims to set an example for other government bodies, reinforcing India’s vision of streamlined and citizen-centric governance.

Special Campaign 5.0 is a testament to the Ministry’s proactive approach in addressing both operational challenges and workplace management, ultimately benefiting employees and citizens alike. For more information on government initiatives,
