Shri Birla underlined that India’s greatest strength lies in its youthful population. He encouraged students to acquire knowledge, gain practical experience, embrace innovation, and master emerging technologies to become leaders in national and global arenas. He said the youth’s confidence, creativity, and problem-solving abilities are vital forces for national development and international influence.
The Speaker appreciated the university’s efforts in fostering leadership and innovation, noting that institutions like Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth play a crucial role in preparing students to tackle global challenges. Reflecting on his visits abroad, Shri Birla noted that many nations observe India with high expectations due to its youthful demographics. While global youth populations are declining in some countries, India’s growing young population presents immense opportunities for innovation, entrepreneurship, and research. He lauded the contributions of Indian students through startups, technological innovations, and scientific research, emphasizing that such efforts already address national and global challenges.
Shri Birla urged the graduating students to dedicate themselves to nation-building and contribute to the realization of a developed India with renewed confidence, ambition, and resolve. He emphasized that guided by India’s cultural values and social commitment, students are expected to serve the nation meaningfully and uphold its civilizational legacy.
Preserving Culture While Shaping the Future
The Speaker also recognized the University and Indore’s historical contributions to preserving Indian culture and moral values over generations. He highlighted how the city and Madhya Pradesh have consistently contributed to societal betterment, even amidst foreign rule, ensuring that India’s spiritual and cultural foundations remain intact. Shri Birla praised the integration of education with cultural preservation, preparing graduates to shape India’s future while honoring its rich heritage.
The convocation ceremony was attended by Member of Parliament Shri Shankar Lalwani and Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, along with other dignitaries.
