Lok Samvardhan Parv Celebrating 11 Years of Inclusive Growth

RR Team, June 10, 2025June 10, 2025

A vibrant celebration of empowerment, inclusion, and cultural pride is set to begin tomorrow. The Ministry of Minority Affairs is organizing the Lok Samvardhan Parv from June 11th to 15th, 2025. This special event will take place at Birsa Munda Lawn, Gandhi Darshan, Raj Ghat, New Delhi. It commemorates the successful completion of 11 years of the Government’s dedicated service.

The Ministry envisions this event as a powerful celebration of inclusive development. It will proudly showcase the Ministry’s key schemes, programmes, and achievements. All these initiatives align with the vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas.” The Parv also prominently highlights the Ministry’s continuous efforts. These efforts aim at the economic empowerment of minority communities, especially their talented artisans and traditional craftspeople.

Empowering Artisans and Traditional Crafts

This year’s Lok Samvardhan Parv offers a truly dynamic platform. Over 50 artisans from Northern States of India will participate actively. They will exhibit and sell their exquisite traditional crafts. Importantly, the event enables them to engage directly with potential buyers. This connection helps them build crucial market linkages, fostering sustainable livelihoods.

The government recognizes the immense talent and heritage embedded in these crafts. Events like the Parv provide these skilled individuals with much-needed visibility and economic opportunities. • Artisan and Culinary Participation: Beyond crafts, the Parv will feature participation from skilled artisans and talented culinary experts. They hail from diverse Northern states such as Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.
  • Exhibition-cum-Sale: A wide array of traditional art and handicrafts will be available for exhibition and sale. This includes beautiful Laakh ki Chudiyan, intricate Wooden Painting, unique Blue Pottery, delicate Embroidery, rich Banarasi Brocade, vibrant Phulkari, versatile Leather Crafts, exquisite Carpets, stunning Jewellery, and detailed Wood Carving.
  • Cultural Performances: The Parv will come alive with captivating cultural performances. Live shows by folk artists from various parts of the country will add to the festive atmosphere. This offers a vibrant glimpse into India’s diverse artistic traditions.

Promoting Heritage and Entrepreneurial Spirit

The Lok Samvardhan Parv aims to achieve several important goals. It seeks to foster greater awareness of the Ministry’s comprehensive inclusive development efforts. Simultaneously, it promotes the rich cultural heritage and the strong entrepreneurial spirit of minority communities.

This initiative forms part of a broader, sustained effort. The Ministry actively works to empower traditional artisans. They strive to preserve indigenous art forms for future generations. Crucially, they connect these artists with sustainable livelihoods, ensuring their skills continue to thrive. The focus remains on uplifting communities through respect for their heritage and fostering economic independence.
