Students from Lucknow University are brimming with pride as they contribute their artistic talents to the Mahakumbh, one of the world’s largest spiritual gatherings, set to take place in Prayagraj. For many of them, this represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to leave their mark on such a monumental event.
Transforming Prayagraj with Art
Neeraj Diwakar, a second-year Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) student, expressed his excitement about participating in the project. Despite juggling examinations, Diwakar painted 7-8 walls with themes inspired by Indian mythology. “Being part of the world’s biggest gathering is truly exhilarating,” he shared, emphasizing the importance of this moment in his journey as an artist.
Similarly, Nitin Kashyap, another second-year BFA student, described the overwhelming pride he felt. “Once my friends and I finished painting, I had goosebumps thinking about how our work would be seen by people from across the globe during such a grand event,” said Kashyap, reflecting on the significance of their creative contributions.
