Major Victory Against Naxalism: 31 Naxalites Eliminated in Bijapur, Amit Shah Reaffirms Commitment to a Naxal-Free India

RR Team, February 10, 2025February 10, 2025

In a significant victory against Naxalism, security forces have eliminated 31 Naxalites in an operation in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, hailed this achievement as a major step toward making India free from Naxal violence. The operation also led to the recovery of a large cache of weapons and explosives, further weakening the insurgent groups operating in the region.

Taking to social media, the Home Minister expressed his strong commitment to ending Naxalism once and for all. He reiterated that the government is determined to eliminate this long-standing challenge and has set March 31, 2026, as the deadline to free the country from its grip. His statement reflects the unwavering resolve of the security forces and the administration in ensuring peace and stability in affected regions.

However, this success has come at a heavy price. Two brave soldiers lost their lives in the operation, sacrificing themselves in the fight against insurgency. Shri Amit Shah extended his deepest condolences to their families, stating that the nation will forever remain indebted to these heroes. Their sacrifice, he emphasized, strengthens the collective resolve to eradicate Naxalism and create a safer future for all citizens.

The battle against Naxalism has been a long and arduous one, with security forces continuously working to dismantle extremist networks. Over the years, sustained efforts, strategic operations, and developmental initiatives have significantly weakened Naxalite influence. With each successful operation, the path toward lasting peace becomes clearer, ensuring that no innocent life is lost to violence and fear.

As the fight continues, the government remains committed to bringing prosperity, development, and security to the regions once plagued by insurgency. The latest operation in Bijapur marks not just a military success but also a step closer to realizing a future where all citizens can live without fear, free from the shadow of extremism.
