Maurya Lok Tower Set to Reopen as Patna’s Smart Hub

RR Team, August 4, 2025August 4, 2025

Maurya Lok Tower in Patna is getting a major makeover. The landmark structure, closed for redevelopment, is set to reopen in a brand-new avatar by mid-August 2025. According to Patna Smart City Limited (PSCL), the agency behind the revamp, the upgraded complex will include a multiplex, restaurant, gaming zone, gym, and banquet hall.

The project is nearing completion. Officials have confirmed that the inauguration is scheduled around August 15.

What’s New in the Revamped Maurya Lok Tower?

The new Maurya Lok Tower will be more than just a commercial space. It’s being reimagined as a smart lifestyle destination. With two extra floors added to the original G+4 structure, the building will now feature seven levels of modern facilities.

According to PSCL spokesperson Priya Saurabh, the sixth floor will house a restaurant and three-screen multiplex, while the fifth floor is dedicated to a virtual gaming zone. This setup is expected to become a go-to leisure spot in the city.

Modern Gym and Wellness Zone

Fitness lovers are in for a treat. Block B of the tower features a state-of-the-art gym with 35 fitness machines including treadmills, dumbbells, and cycling stations — all sourced from Delhi. There’s also a wellness center and yoga room where trained professionals will conduct regular sessions.

Additional features include steam bath and jacuzzi facilities. These modern amenities aim to promote a healthy urban lifestyle right in the heart of Patna.

Rooftop Banquet Hall With a View

One of the most talked-about features is the new banquet hall on the rooftop. Built on a steel frame structure, the 9,000 sq ft hall has no internal pillars, making it ideal for large gatherings. It also features an insulated ceiling that helps reduce the ambient temperature by up to 10 degrees.

Contractor Yash Yadav confirmed that the design ensures natural ventilation, with separate entry and exit points. Next to the hall, a green vertical garden and lounge area are also being developed, offering a picturesque setting for events.

Sustainable Construction Techniques

A notable aspect of the redevelopment is the use of Light Gauge Steel Framing (LGSF) technology. Except for the gaming zone, all new structures are prefabricated, lightweight, and environmentally conscious. This method minimizes the need for brick and concrete, reducing the building’s overall weight and carbon footprint.

Saurabh highlighted that the construction follows seismic zone-5 guidelines, which ensures added earthquake resistance — a significant upgrade from the earlier zone-4 designs.

Smart Features and Entertainment Options

The multiplex will have three auditoriums, each accommodating 40 viewers. The 6,000 sq ft rooftop restaurant offers fine dining with a dedicated 1,100 sq ft open area and seating for 80 guests. The kitchen alone spans 350 sq ft, ensuring top-quality service for diners.

Whether it’s for family dinners, movie nights, or social events, Maurya Lok Tower is being positioned as a one-stop destination for lifestyle, fitness, and entertainment.

With its reopening just weeks away, Patna residents are eagerly awaiting their upgraded downtown destination.
