MIB Pavilion Showcases AI Power at WAVES 2026

New Delhi, February 17, 2026: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) Pavilion has emerged as a dynamic AI innovation workspace at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, transforming the WAVES Creators’ Corner into a live demonstration hub for next-generation media technologies.

A Hands-On AI Innovation Workspace

Conceptualised as more than a display zone, the WAVES Creators’ Corner functions as an operational AI lab. From gaming engines to newsroom automation, startups and global tech leaders are showcasing real-world deployments across the AVGC-XR ecosystem — Animation, VFX, Gaming, Comics and Extended Reality.

WaveX startups have taken centre stage alongside major players such as Adobe, Netflix, Sony Research India, Amazon Web Services (AWS), BharatGen, Kuku FM and Whistling Woods International. Their demonstrations reflect how AI is reshaping storytelling, broadcasting and digital production workflows.

AI Gaming Lab and Creative Studios

The AI Gaming Lab has allowed visitors to witness real-time game development from prompt-based concept creation to playable prototypes. Interactive gaming sessions demonstrated how AI engines accelerate design and coding processes.

In the AI Content Creation Lab powered by Adobe, creators observed end-to-end filmmaking workflows powered by generative AI. Scripts, visuals and cinematic sequences evolved from text prompts within minutes, showcasing how AI simplifies production while maintaining creative control.

Agentic Newsroom and BharatGen Innovations

A major attraction has been the AI-Powered Newsroom developed with AWS, BharatGen and industry partners. The installation demonstrated AI agents handling newsroom tasks such as automated content generation, voice-command editorial management and hyperlocal broadcast production.

BharatGen showcased its multimodal Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology, converting video and audio archives into searchable, interactive digital assets. The innovation highlights how AI can unlock “dark data” and enhance content discoverability.

Narad Muni Installation and AI Theatre

The immersive Narad Muni installation, inspired by the mythological messenger, translated user queries into conversational AI interactions powered by large language models. The experience illustrated how AI-driven dialogue systems can create intuitive digital engagement.

The AI Theatre featured nearly 150 AI-generated films curated by NFDC, LTIMindtree and Adobe. A 270-degree immersive cinema environment redefined audience engagement, positioning India at the forefront of AI-powered cinematic storytelling.

Startups and Global Tech on Display

Several innovators presented transformative AI applications. Sony Research India highlighted AI-driven dubbing, translation and voice re-aging for OTT platforms. Sarvam demonstrated multilingual AI tools including live speech-to-text and voice cloning.

Kuku FM launched India’s first slate of AI-powered microdramas, underlining grassroots digital storytelling. Inshorts showcased AI-enabled personalised news summarisation, while Galleri5 presented AI-native cinematic production platforms.

Whistling Woods International introduced marker-less motion capture systems requiring minimal hardware, and the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies displayed immersive AI-integrated education models.

Panels, Masterclasses and Media Dialogues

The Pavilion also hosted panel discussions and masterclasses examining AI’s impact on media monetisation, newsroom automation, gaming innovation and ethical frameworks. Noted filmmaker Shekhar Kapur conducted a masterclass exploring AI’s evolving creative role.

The YourStory Lounge facilitated fireside chats with founders and ecosystem leaders, streamed live on WAVES OTT. Discussions covered sovereign AI capabilities, public policy, digital resilience and startup innovation.

India’s Expanding AI Media Ecosystem

The MIB Pavilion’s programming reflects India’s ambition to lead AI-driven transformation in media and entertainment. By combining immersive demonstrations with policy dialogue, the WAVES platform has positioned itself as a bridge between technology innovators and creative industries.

As the Summit continues over the coming days, the MIB Pavilion remains a vibrant space where artificial intelligence meets storytelling, innovation and India’s creative future.
