Indian carriers operating international flights have been advised to closely monitor airspace advisories, NOTAMs, and route restrictions issued by authorities. Airlines are instructed to execute rerouting or diversions promptly in line with global safety protocols and established contingency procedures.
Airports, particularly major international gateways, are on operational alert to manage potential flight diversions, unscheduled landings, and passenger facilitation needs. AAI and private airport operators have been directed to enhance coordination with airlines for ground handling, crew logistics, parking management, passenger amenities, and immigration support.
The DGCA will maintain close oversight to ensure compliance with safety regulations, crew duty time limitations, and operational advisories. Continuous monitoring mechanisms have been activated to assess the evolving airspace situation and minimize any disruption to domestic flight schedules.
MoCA is coordinating with the Ministry of External Affairs to facilitate information sharing and manage emergent requirements involving Indian carriers or nationals abroad. Passengers are advised to remain in contact with airlines for updates regarding travel schedules, rerouting, or delays. Airlines have been instructed to proactively communicate with passengers to reduce inconvenience.
The Ministry reaffirmed that passenger and crew safety remains the highest priority. All stakeholders are working collaboratively to ensure efficient, orderly, and safe air operations, with further updates to be issued as the situation evolves.
