MOIL Records Highest October Manganese Ore Output Ever

MOIL, India’s leading manganese ore producer, achieved its highest-ever October production since inception, recording 1.60 lakh tonnes in October 2025. This represents a 9.1% increase compared to the corresponding period last year (CPLY), reflecting the company’s ongoing operational efficiency and strategic growth initiatives.
During the first seven months of FY’26, MOIL has already produced 11.04 lakh tonnes of manganese ore, an 8.5% rise over the same period in the previous financial year. The continuous increase underscores the company’s strong performance trajectory and commitment to meeting domestic and international demand for manganese.

Exploration Milestones

Maintaining its focus on resource expansion, MOIL achieved its highest-ever exploratory core drilling of 57,275 meters between April and October 2025. This strategic emphasis on exploration aims to secure long-term ore reserves, enhancing the company’s production stability and market competitiveness.

Management Comments

Shri Ajit Kumar Saxena, Chairman and Managing Director of MOIL, remarked, “It is encouraging that the upward trend in production during the first seven months has been maintained. The MOIL team is fully geared up to register yet another impressive performance in the current year.”

His comments highlight the company’s strategic focus on operational excellence, resource development, and sustained growth in line with India’s mining sector expansion goals.

Significance for India’s Mining Sector

As manganese is a critical mineral for steel production and industrial applications, MOIL’s record performance strengthens India’s resource security. By enhancing production and continuing robust exploration, MOIL supports domestic industry, contributes to export potential, and reinforces the nation’s strategic mineral supply chain.

With rising global demand and competitive market dynamics, MOIL’s achievements signal both operational resilience and the growing importance of sustainable mining practices.
