MY Bharat Quiz Winners Return from Siachen to Inspire Youth

New Delhi – The winners of the MY Bharat National Flag Quiz returned from their historic visit to the Siachen Base Camp and were warmly welcomed by Union Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, in New Delhi on October 2, 2025.
The 25-member contingent, who visited Siachen from September 26 to October 1, 2025, experienced the extreme conditions of the world’s highest battlefield, interacted with Indian Army personnel, and paid homage at military memorials. This exposure provided them a rare insight into the challenges and sacrifices of soldiers stationed at such remote heights.

Transformative Experience for Youth Participants

During the interaction, the young winners shared their reflections on the bravery, discipline, and camaraderie of the Indian Army. Manas Mondal, one of the participants, described the trip as a life-changing experience, stating, “Through the journey, I learned the real value of discipline, tenacity, and camaraderie. I return with an added sense of obligation towards my nation and a commitment to disseminate this message among my contemporaries.”

Participants emphasized that witnessing frontline life firsthand has inspired them to embrace patriotism and service in their own lives.

Dr. Mandaviya Encourages Youth to Spread the Message

Addressing the young attendees, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya lauded their enthusiasm and their adoption of the values of Seva-Bhaav (service) and Kartavya Bodh (duty) central to the MY Bharat initiative. He urged them to carry forward the lessons learned from Siachen and inspire fellow youth across the nation.

“You must take the message of this experience and learnings of this visit to the youth of this nation,” he emphasized, underlining the role of such engagements in fostering a spirit of national pride, responsibility, and civic engagement.

Oath to Promote National Pride and Service

On this occasion, the participants took an oath to propagate the message of national pride, service, and strength throughout India. They reaffirmed their commitment to remain active volunteers of the MY Bharat program, contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat by promoting awareness, patriotism, and social responsibility among peers.
