MyGov Space Day Quiz 2025 Winners Visit ISRO Sriharikota

RR Team, November 21, 2025November 21, 2025
The top 100 winners of MyGov’s National Space Day Quiz 2025 were given an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour of the Indian Space Research Organisation’s Satish Dhawan Space Centre  Sriharikota Range (SDSC-SHAR), experiencing first-hand India’s launch operations, mission control and the infrastructure that supports the country’s growing space ambitions.

From online quiz winners to ISRO tour

Organised by MyGov, the National Space Day Quiz 2025 formed part of a wider public engagement drive to mark National Space Day and promote scientific curiosity across India. The quiz attracted thousands of participants nationwide, and the top 100 scorers were awarded an educational visit to ISRO on 11 November 2025  a rare opportunity to see mission operations and meet scientists behind India’s achievements in space science.

Interactive sessions with ISRO scientists

During the visit, winners attended interactive talks led by senior ISRO scientists and officials. Sessions covered India’s space journey, recent missions and the science and engineering that underpin launch campaigns. Participants asked questions about satellite design, mission planning and the logistics of launch operations, receiving mentoring-style guidance from personnel engaged in current and upcoming missions.

Touring the Master Control Centre and launch pads

The tour included visits to the Master Control Centre and Launch Pads 1 and 2 at SDSC-SHAR  the operational hubs where satellites and launch vehicles are assembled, tested and readied for flight. Winners observed the scale of infrastructure required for launch preparations and learned about the rigorous testing, integration and countdown procedures that ensure mission success.

Aspirations kindled students respond

Winners described the ISRO visit as a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.” Many said the experience reinforced their ambition to pursue studies and careers in science, engineering and research. For several attendees, the exposure to working scientists and the chance to see live operational facilities transformed abstract knowledge into a clear, vocational pathway.

MyGov’s public engagement and educational outreach

The National Space Day Quiz forms part of MyGov’s broader strategy to involve citizens in national programmes through educational contests, social media campaigns, podcasts and multimedia content. MyGov’s outreach aims to democratise access to scientific knowledge and build sustained interest in India’s space enterprise among youth and the general public.

ISRO’s evolving mission portfolio and national pride

ISRO’s recent achievements  from solar science missions like Aditya-L1 to the Gaganyaan human spaceflight programme and expanding interplanetary ambitions  provide rich material for public engagement. The quiz and follow-up visit underscore how India’s space milestones are leveraged to inspire talent and cultivate a technically literate citizenry proud of national accomplishments in space technology.

Programme continuity and growing impact

This 2025 visit continues a multi-year tradition: following the Chandrayaan-3 Mahaquiz in 2023 and the National Space Day Quiz 2024, MyGov again concluded its nationwide quiz programme with an educational tour of ISRO for the top performers. These repeat initiatives point to a sustained approach to science communication that connects classroom curiosity with institutional expertise.

What winners took away

Beyond photographs and souvenirs, winners left with practical insights into mission workflows, career paths in aerospace, and the collaborative nature of modern scientific programmes. Many pledged to seek further study in STEM fields; some participants noted intentions to share their experiences in schools and community forums to broaden the impact of their learning.
