NIELIT’s Yuva Rojgar Mela: 16+ Companies, 1,000+ Jobs

Job Fair Overview and Participation

The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) organized the Yuva Rojgar Mela on September 29, 2024, at its Delhi campus in Janakpuri. This job fair aimed to connect skilled youth — including NIELIT’s alumni and students — with employment opportunities. The event attracted over 1,300 registered participants and featured participation from 16 leading companies, which collectively offered more than 1,000 job openings across various sectors.

Inauguration and Key Remarks

Dr. Madan Mohan Tripathi, the Director General of NIELIT and Vice-Chancellor of NIELIT Deemed to be University, inaugurated the event. In his speech, Dr. Tripathi stressed the importance of such job fairs in bridging India’s skill gap. He shared that last year’s NIELIT job fairs resulted in over 6,000 offer letters distributed to job seekers, and he expressed confidence that this number will grow in 2024.

He also appreciated the efforts of the NIELIT Delhi team for successfully organizing the event and thanked the participating companies for their commitment to providing jobs to the youth.


Skill Development Session

The job fair included a special session on “Soft Skills and CV Building”, conducted by Shri Mohammad Junaid, Assistant Manager at Digital India Corporation, MeitY. This session helped participants improve their employability skills, including how to prepare effective resumes and present themselves better in interviews.
