Nitin Nabin Leads BJP Roadshow in Patna After National Role

RR Team, December 23, 2025December 23, 2025
BJP’s newly appointed national working president Nitin Nabin on Tuesday led a grand roadshow in Patna, marking his first visit to Bihar after taking charge at the national level. The high-profile political event witnessed a massive turnout of party workers and supporters, underlining the Bharatiya Janata Party’s organisational strength in the state capital.
The roadshow began from Aranya Bhawan near Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport and concluded at Miller High School ground, located close to the BJP’s state headquarters on Birchand Patel Marg. The route was decorated with party flags, posters, and hoardings, while cultural performances were organised at multiple points along the way.

Senior BJP Leaders Join the Roadshow

Nabin was accompanied by Bihar’s Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, along with state BJP president Sanjay Saraogi. Standing atop a flower-decked vehicle adorned with lotus cutouts, the party’s election symbol, the leaders waved to enthusiastic supporters gathered on both sides of the road.

Supporters showered flower petals on the cavalcade and raised slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” creating a festive atmosphere across the city. The roadshow passed through key locations including Sheikhpura More, Rajbanshi Nagar’s Hanuman temple, and the Income Tax roundabout before reaching its final destination.

Temple Visit and Address to Party Workers

During the roadshow, Nitin Nabin stopped at the Panchmukhi Hanuman temple in Rajbanshi Nagar to offer prayers. The symbolic visit was seen by party leaders as a gesture reflecting cultural values and grassroots connect, an approach the BJP has consistently highlighted in its political outreach.

At the Miller High School ground, Nabin addressed BJP workers and leaders, thanking them for their continued support and emphasising organisational discipline and unity. Party insiders said the address focused on strengthening the party’s base ahead of future electoral challenges.

Tight Security Across Patna

Given the scale of the programme, security arrangements were significantly tightened across Patna. Police personnel were deployed along the route, and traffic diversions were implemented to ensure smooth movement of the cavalcade and public safety.

Earlier in the day, several senior state BJP leaders welcomed Nabin at the Patna airport, reflecting his strong standing within the party’s Bihar unit. According to sources, he was also scheduled to meet Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan at Raj Bhavan later in the evening.

Political Journey and Background

Nitin Nabin, a five-time MLA from the Bankipur assembly constituency, assumed charge as BJP’s national working president in New Delhi on December 15. He was officially appointed to the post on December 14, marking a significant milestone in his political career.

The son of veteran BJP leader Navin Kishore Sinha, who represented the now-abolished Patna West seat, Nabin entered active politics in 2006 after winning a by-election necessitated by his father’s demise. Over the years, he has built a strong support base in urban Patna.

In the most recent Bihar assembly elections, Nabin retained the Bankipur seat with a margin of around 52,000 votes, reinforcing his popularity among urban voters. He has previously served as the state unit chief of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha and as the party’s in-charge for Chhattisgarh.

Strategic Importance for BJP

Political observers view Nabin’s roadshow as a signal of BJP’s intent to consolidate its organisational structure in Bihar. His interactions with MPs, MLAs, members of the legislative council, and senior leaders at the state headquarters are expected to shape the party’s roadmap in the coming months.

For the BJP, the Patna roadshow was not merely a welcome event but a display of strength and unity, highlighting the leadership’s confidence as the party gears up for future political contests in the state.
