Operation Sindoor: India’s Deadly Counterstrike Unveiled

RR Team, June 9, 2025June 9, 2025

🔥 Operation Sindoor: Inside India’s Devastating Strike on Pakistan

🇮🇳 19 BrahMos Missiles, Multiple Airbases Hit

A month after Operation Sindoor, fresh intelligence reports confirm the Indian Air Force (IAF) launched 19 BrahMos cruise missiles in one of its most aggressive air offensives in recent years. The primary targets were Pakistani airbases and terror hideouts, including the Lashkar-e-Taiba headquarters, which was reportedly wiped out.

According to a report by Hindustan Times, between May 7 and May 10, India executed a high-precision campaign using BrahMos and French-made SCALP cruise missiles to neutralize enemy infrastructure. The combined total of 38 cruise missiles wreaked havoc deep inside Pakistan.

🎯 Targets Destroyed: Combat Jets and Transport Planes

Indian intelligence has now confirmed, using digital proof, that Pakistan lost:

  • Four combat jets

  • Two large transport aircraft

These assets were stationed at airbases in Karachi, Chaklala, and Malir, which bore the brunt of India’s pinpoint missile attacks.

⚔️ Pakistan’s Defense: PL-15s and Failed Countermeasures

In retaliation, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) fired Chinese-made PL-15 air-to-air missiles. However, these failed to intercept the IAF’s incoming cruise missiles. Sources also reported that Pakistan deployed mixed-range fire units from the Malir and Chaklala Cantonments, but the Indian aerial assault went largely unchallenged.

🔄 Defence Reforms: India’s Ammo Strategy Changes

The Defence Ministry, under Rajnath Singh, has now sanctioned full restocking of critical ammunition. The future arsenal will include:

  • Loitering munitions with extended range

  • Advanced Kamikaze drones

  • Longer-range air-to-air missiles

These upgrades will give India even greater precision and endurance in any future confrontation.

🧠 Tactical Depth: Why Operation Sindoor Matters

Unlike the Balakot strikes of 2019, Operation Sindoor involved:

  • Coordinated multi-day attacks

  • Advanced air-to-surface cruise missiles

  • Joint strikes by IAF, backed by naval surveillance and real-time satellite intel

The operation signifies India’s technological superiority and proactive defense stance in response to rising cross-border terror threats.
