Over 2 Crore Youth Registered on MY Bharat Portal

New Delhi: Over two crore youth have registered on the MY Bharat portal since its launch in October 2023, marking a significant milestone in youth engagement initiatives by the Government of India. The portal provides a digital platform for youth to participate in volunteering, experiential learning, mentorship, and networking, along with activities like quizzes, essay writing, and CV building.

Features and Opportunities on MY Bharat

Designed as a youth engagement and participation platform, MY Bharat allows registered users to create personal profiles, access mentorship from experts, and interact with peers across India. While not a dedicated skill development or employment portal, it facilitates soft skill enhancement, government awareness, and access to scholarships and higher education information. Ministries, organizations, industries, and youth clubs can host engagement programs, reaching a wide audience of registered youth.

State-Wise Registrations Across India

According to a written reply by Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, in the Rajya Sabha, registrations span all states and union territories. Uttar Pradesh leads with 19.97 lakh registrations, followed by Rajasthan with 17.22 lakh, Maharashtra with 13.26 lakh, and Madhya Pradesh with 12.57 lakh. Other states including Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Bihar also show significant participation, reflecting the portal’s nationwide reach.

Punjab Registrations District-Wise

Punjab alone has recorded 5.38 lakh registrations. Ludhiana tops the list with 61,165 youth registered, followed by Patiala (41,974), Jalandhar (41,414), and Amritsar (38,885). Other districts such as Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, and Sangrur also display strong participation. The district-level breakdown illustrates the portal’s effectiveness in engaging youth at the grassroots level.

Impact and Objectives

MY Bharat enables youth to explore government functions, participate in volunteering, and gain exposure to diverse engagement programs without implying direct outcomes from the platform itself. Its reporting framework captures registrations, activities, partner onboarding, and participation levels, allowing organizations to measure outreach effectively. Experts believe the portal is building a digitally connected, informed, and skilled youth community across India.

Looking Ahead

The portal continues to expand its reach, aiming to connect more youth to programs that promote experiential learning, mentorship, and civic engagement. By offering a centralized platform for youth activities, MY Bharat strengthens the government’s vision of fostering proactive and digitally empowered citizens.
