About Pariksha Pe Charcha
Launched in 2018, Pariksha Pe Charcha is a unique platform where students, parents and teachers interact with the Prime Minister to discuss exam stress, mental wellbeing and practical strategies to treat examinations as an occasion of learning rather than fear. Since its inception, the programme has expanded significantly, combining live interaction with nationwide outreach initiatives.
The eighth edition in 2025 set a Guinness World Record for its global reach: participants joined from more than 245 countries, and the programme attracted millions across India through telecasts and Jan Andolan activities. PPC has grown from around 22,000 participants in its first edition to an estimated 3.56 crore registrations in 2025, with nearly five crore people participating when nationwide activities are included.
Format and previous innovations
PPC 2025 introduced an innovative multi-episode format recorded at Sunder Nursery, New Delhi, and featured specialised episodes on topics including sports, mental health, nutrition, technology and creativity. The show brought together students from government schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Sainik Schools, Eklavya Model Residential Schools, CBSE and Navodaya Vidyalayas, alongside winners of cultural and bravery awards.
Organisers say the format fosters inclusivity and showcases diverse success stories, while expert panels and mentors add practical tips to help students manage pressure and prepare holistically for examinations.
Why PPC matters
Beyond a televised interaction, PPC functions as a national movement that encourages positive attitudes toward exams and learning. It has catalysed community outreach activities Jan Andolan that mobilise teachers, parents and local volunteers to run workshops, counselling sessions and peer mentoring programmes at scale.
The programme’s emphasis on mental health, balanced preparation and celebrating creativity has been credited with changing mindsets and reducing stigma around exam stress in many parts of the country.
How schools and communities can engage
Schools and local organisations can encourage eligible students, teachers and parents to register on MyGov and participate in the MCQ competition. Completing the MyGov activity not only makes participants eligible for certificates but also helps schools identify students who may be selected for direct interaction during the final event.
Organisers recommend that institutions run preparatory sessions, mental-health workshops and peer discussions aligned with PPC themes to amplify the programme’s benefits at the grassroots level.

The online MCQ competition is live from 1 December 2025 and will close on 11 January 2026. The final event will be held in January 2026 organisers will announce the exact date and format closer to the event after the selection process concludes.
