Competitions and Cultural Activities
Throughout the fortnight, PCIM&H organized several competitions catering to both Hindi and non-Hindi speakers. Events included Essay Writing, Hindi Dictionary Knowledge (Administrative & Technical Vocabulary), Self-Composed Poetry, Debates, Rajbhasha Antakshari, and Encouragement Awards for Hindi Work.
Over 110 participants, including officers from PCIM&H and the Drug Standardization Research Institute (DSRI), actively engaged in the workshops and contests, showcasing their language proficiency and creativity.
Special Hindi Kavi Sammelan
On September 25, a Hindi Kavi Sammelan was held at the Dhanvantari Auditorium, Pocket-2, aimed at encouraging the use of Rajbhasha. The seminar was chaired by Dr. Raman Mohan Singh, Director of PCIM&H, while Dr. Sweta Mohan, the designated Rajbhasha Officer, coordinated the program. Stage proceedings were conducted by Dr. Anupam Maurya, Scientific Officer – Chemistry.
Eminent poets, including Dr. Anju Lata Singh, Shri Raj Kaushik, and Shri Kuldeep Bartaria, were felicitated with a Tulsi plant, shawl, and memento, recognizing their contributions to Hindi literature and poetry.
During the event, Dr. Singh encouraged staff members to adopt Hindi more extensively in official communication and emphasized the collective responsibility of promoting Rajbhasha across government functions.
Closing Ceremony and Awards
The fortnight concluded on September 29 with a closing ceremony attended by Dr. G.P. Garg, former Chief Chemist, Ministry of AYUSH, as the Chief Guest. Winners of various competitions were honored with awards and certificates of appreciation, celebrating their achievements and encouraging continued use of Hindi in professional and creative contexts.
The event successfully reinforced the importance of Hindi in administrative, scientific, and cultural domains, while fostering a sense of pride and engagement among participants.
Significance and Impact
Hindi Pakhwada at PCIM&H not only celebrated language and literature but also highlighted its role in effective communication within government offices. Through cultural events, competitions, and seminars, the initiative made Hindi accessible, engaging, and rewarding for staff members.
