Recognizing Excellence in Capacity Building and Governance
At the grand ceremony held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, Union Minister for Labour and Employment, Youth Affairs and Sports, Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, felicitated PDUNASS for its outstanding contributions to employee training and institutional reform.
PDUNASS received two Bhavishya Nidhi Awards Best Achievement in Capacity Building and Special Initiative: Reimagining Governance – Discourse for Excellence (RGDE) underscoring its leadership in reshaping public sector training and thought development.

Reimagining Governance: The RGDE Initiative

Launched on Good Governance Day in 2023, the RGDE series has emerged as a flagship initiative promoting ethical leadership and innovation. It provides a forum for distinguished personalities from governance, policy, and arts to share insights on public service excellence.
Notable speakers in the series have included Kailash Satyarthi, Dr. Devi Shetty, Sanjeev Sanyal, Adil Hussain, and Prabhat Kumar. Over time, RGDE has evolved into a dynamic platform driving reform-oriented discourse and inspiring modern governance practices within EPFO.
The award was received by Shri Kumar Rohit, Director, PDUNASS, and Shri Uttam Prakash, RPFC-I, who has served as moderator of the RGDE series since its inception.
Empowering EPFO through Capacity Building
PDUNASS was also lauded for its exceptional work in developing the competencies of EPFO officers. During FY 2024–25, the academy trained 155 newly recruited Assistant Provident Fund Commissioners (APFCs) across three batches, focusing on functional, behavioural, and leadership excellence.
Two innovative modules Design Thinking (in collaboration with NID Ahmedabad) and Compassion in Governance (with the Satyarthi Movement for Global Compassion) were introduced to foster creativity and empathy among officers. The Academy also launched engaging initiatives like the Book Review and Delicious Initiatives programmes to nurture intellectual growth and teamwork.
This initiative was developed by a dedicated team comprising Shri Vijay Kumar, Shri Ankur Gupta, Shri Sanjay Kumar Rai, Shri Sharique Tanwir, and Shri Ram Anand, and was received jointly by Shri Kumar Rohit and Shri Ankur P. Gupta.
Launch of Coffee Table Book and Exhibition
As part of the celebration, the Union Minister launched a Coffee Table Book titled “Reimagining Governance: Discourse for Excellence”, chronicling the journey and impact of the RGDE initiative. The event also featured an exhibition highlighting PDUNASS’s training innovations and publications from its campuses in Faridabad, Chennai, Ujjain, Kolkata, and Shillong.
Visitors explored materials such as the RGDE Booklet, Induction Training Booklets, and the Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Achievements compendium, showcasing the institution’s focus on continuous learning and public service enhancement.
Commitment to Ethical and Efficient Governance
The celebration reaffirmed EPFO’s dedication to ethical, people-centric governance. Officers and staff from across India participated enthusiastically, reflecting a shared vision for reform, innovation, and excellence in service delivery.
Through such transformative initiatives, PDUNASS continues to strengthen EPFO’s identity as a thought leader in social security administration and public governance.
