In a compassionate gesture, Shri Modi announced an ex-gratia assistance from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) amounting to ₹2 lakh for the next of kin of each deceased and ₹50,000 for those injured in the incident.
Sharing his message on X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister stated, “Pained by the loss of lives due to a mishap in Jaipur, Rajasthan. My thoughts are with those who have lost their near and dear ones. I pray that the injured recover soon. An ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given ₹50,000.”
The announcement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) underlines the government’s continued commitment to supporting citizens in times of crisis. The Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund is utilized for providing immediate relief to families affected by natural disasters, accidents, and other tragedies.
Authorities in Rajasthan have been instructed to ensure timely medical assistance and rehabilitation for the victims. Local officials have also been directed to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the mishap to prevent future occurrences.
