PM Modi Highlights Cultural and Civilisational Legacy

In a message shared on social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi said that Uttar Pradesh has made an invaluable contribution to the richness of Indian culture and heritage. He noted that the state has been the land of sages, saints, freedom fighters, and reformers who have shaped the civilisational ethos of the country.
From ancient cities like Kashi and Ayodhya to centres of learning and devotion such as Mathura, Prayagraj, and Sarnath, Uttar Pradesh has remained central to India’s spiritual and cultural identity for centuries.
Transformation Over the Past Nine Years
The Prime Minister said that over the past nine years, Uttar Pradesh has witnessed a remarkable transformation. Referring to the state’s earlier classification as part of the ‘BIMARU’ group, he said it has now emerged as an exemplary state due to sustained development efforts.
PM Modi attributed this change to the “double-engine government” and the active participation of people committed to development. He said improved governance, infrastructure expansion, and better law and order have helped the state move on a new growth trajectory.
Role of People’s Participation
Emphasising the importance of public participation, the Prime Minister said the transformation of Uttar Pradesh would not have been possible without the cooperation and collective efforts of its people. He said citizens’ involvement in development initiatives has strengthened governance at the grassroots level.
The Prime Minister added that initiatives aimed at improving ease of living, boosting investment, and generating employment have started yielding visible results across urban and rural areas of the state.
Uttar Pradesh as a Growth Engine of India
Expressing confidence in the future, PM Modi said Uttar Pradesh’s immense potential will play a crucial role in keeping India’s progress dynamic and forward-looking. With its large youth population, growing infrastructure, and expanding industrial base, the state is expected to contribute significantly to national growth.
He noted that sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, logistics, tourism, and information technology are witnessing renewed momentum in the state, creating new opportunities for employment and entrepreneurship.
From BIMARU to Bemisaal
The Prime Minister used the phrase “BIMARU se Bemisaal” to describe Uttar Pradesh’s journey, highlighting the shift from stagnation to progress. He said focused governance reforms and investment-friendly policies have helped change the state’s image.
Improved connectivity through expressways, better power availability, and a push for industrial corridors have contributed to attracting domestic and foreign investments.
Statehood Day Celebrations
Uttar Pradesh Statehood Day celebrations are marked by exhibitions, cultural programmes, and events showcasing the state’s achievements and heritage. Government departments and educational institutions also organise activities to create awareness about the state’s history and future aspirations.
Looking Ahead
As Uttar Pradesh celebrates its Establishment Day, the Prime Minister’s message underscores the state’s growing importance in India’s development story. With continued reforms, investment, and people’s participation, the state is poised to play a defining role in shaping the country’s future.
The greetings from the Prime Minister reflect optimism that Uttar Pradesh will continue its journey as a driver of inclusive and sustainable growth for the nation.
