PM Modi Pays Tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Sadaiv Atal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid heartfelt tributes to former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee at ‘Sadaiv Atal’, his memorial in New Delhi, on the occasion of his birth anniversary. The Prime Minister remembered Vajpayee ji as a towering statesman whose life and work continue to inspire generations of Indians.
The visit marked a solemn moment of reflection on the enduring legacy of one of India’s most respected political leaders, known for his democratic values, inclusive vision and unwavering commitment to national service.

Tributes at Sadaiv Atal

Paying floral homage at the memorial, Prime Minister Modi spent a few moments in silent reflection. ‘Sadaiv Atal’, which translates to “Forever Atal”, stands as a symbol of Vajpayee ji’s lasting contribution to the nation and his place in India’s political history.

The Prime Minister’s visit underscored the deep personal and ideological respect he has often expressed for Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who served as Prime Minister three times and played a crucial role in shaping modern India’s political discourse.

PM’s Message on Social Media

The Prime Minister also shared his thoughts on social media platform X, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to pay homage to the former Prime Minister. In his post, he highlighted that Vajpayee ji’s life, dedicated to public service and nation-building, will always continue to inspire the people of India.

Modi’s message resonated widely, with leaders across party lines and citizens recalling Vajpayee ji’s humility, eloquence and statesmanship.

A Life Dedicated to Nation and Democracy

Born on December 25, 1924, Atal Bihari Vajpayee was not only a seasoned parliamentarian but also a celebrated poet, thinker and orator. His political career spanned several decades, during which he served as Prime Minister, External Affairs Minister and Leader of the Opposition.

Vajpayee ji is remembered for steering India through critical phases of economic reform, strengthening national security and advocating peaceful dialogue in foreign policy, even during challenging geopolitical circumstances.
