PM Modi Predicts Record NDA Win, Slams RJD’s ‘Jungle Raj’

Patna, October 24: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) election campaign in Bihar from Samastipur, predicting a “record-breaking mandate” for the ruling coalition under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The Prime Minister asserted that the people of Bihar would once again reject the “jungle raj” of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and choose stability and development.
“This time NDA will break all previous records,” PM Modi declared, recalling the 2010 Assembly elections when the alliance won 206 of 243 seats, including 115 by Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) and 91 by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Attacks RJD-Congress Over ‘Jungle Raj’ and Scams

Renewing his attack on the opposition, PM Modi accused the RJD and Congress of corruption and lawlessness. “The RJD and Congress are known for scams, and their leaders are out on bail. The people of Bihar must not let them return to power,” he said. He claimed the opposition is now trying to “steal the title of ‘Jannayak’ Karpoori Thakur,” the late Chief Minister of Bihar recently honoured with the Bharat Ratna by the NDA government.

“It was the NDA that recognized Karpoori Thakur’s contributions to Bihar and the backward classes by awarding him Bharat Ratna. During the RJD-Congress rule, he was ignored,” Modi said while paying floral tributes at Thakur’s native village earlier in the day.

NDA’s Record and Development Push

The Prime Minister credited Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership for transforming Bihar’s governance and infrastructure. He alleged that the RJD-Congress combine had created obstacles in Bihar’s growth. “Nitish Kumar took Bihar out of darkness and put it on the right track. People will not allow the state to go back to the lantern age,” he said, referring to the RJD’s election symbol.

Highlighting central support, Modi stated that the BJP-led NDA government has allocated three times more funds to Bihar compared to the previous UPA regime. “Our government gave constitutional status to the Backward Commission and enhanced SC/ST reservations,” he said.

Women Empowerment and Maoist Control

PM Modi praised the state government’s Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojna, which has provided ₹10,000 financial aid to 1.20 crore women. He assured that more financial assistance will be extended after the NDA’s re-election. “Empowering women is at the heart of our governance model,” he said.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to national security, the Prime Minister said, “We are determined to eliminate Maoist activities from the country.” He blamed the RJD-Congress regime for fostering extremism, claiming that more than 18 districts in Bihar were once affected by Maoist violence.

Appeal to Party Workers

Calling upon BJP and NDA workers to strengthen the campaign at the grassroots, Modi urged, “Every booth worker must ensure the victory of NDA candidates. Stay alert, work hard, and help Bihar move forward.”

Earlier in the day, Modi met the family of Karpoori Thakur, including Union Minister Ramnath Thakur, and offered floral tributes to the late leader.
