PM Modi Reaffirms Commitment to Peace and Development in Naxal-Affected Regions

New Delhi, May 14, 2025 — In a heartfelt message shared late this evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his firm commitment to bringing peace and development to areas long troubled by Naxal violence. Acknowledging the recent achievements of India’s security forces, the Prime Minister remarked that these victories clearly indicate that the government’s efforts to eliminate Naxalism are progressing in the right direction.

Taking to social media in response to a post by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the Prime Minister conveyed both resolve and empathy, noting, “This success of the security forces shows that our campaign to root out Naxalism is moving in the right direction. We are fully committed to establishing peace in the Naxal-affected areas and connecting them with the mainstream of development.”

His statement reflects a deep understanding of the challenges faced by communities in Naxal-affected regions, many of whom have suffered for decades due to violence, instability, and neglect. The Prime Minister’s message comes as a reassurance that these regions will not be left behind in the nation’s journey towards inclusive growth and stability.

As efforts intensify on the ground, the government’s focus remains not only on security but also on healing, rehabilitation, and integration—ensuring that those living in conflict-affected zones are given opportunities to thrive as equal participants in the nation’s progress.
