PM Modi Slams ‘Jungle Raj’ in Bihar, Launches Key Development Projects

PM Modi Slams ‘Jungle Raj’ in Bihar, Launches Key Projects

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Siwan, Bihar on June 20, 2025. He used the occasion to launch several key projects and target the Congress-RJD alliance. Calling them creators of “Jungle Raj“, he urged voters to reject the ‘panja-lantern’ duo in the upcoming elections.

Rail, Power, and Urban Projects Unveiled

PM Modi flagged off the Vande Bharat Express between Patliputra and Gorakhpur via Muzaffarpur and Bettiah. This will cut travel time and improve regional connectivity.

He also launched the Vaishali–Deoria railway project worth ₹400 crore. A new train service was introduced to strengthen rural and urban access.

‘Make in India’ Export Success

The PM flagged off a locomotive built at the Marhowra Plant for export to Guinea. This is the plant’s first export under the ‘Make in India’ drive.

Urban Infrastructure Under Namami Gange

PM Modi inaugurated six sewage treatment plants worth ₹1,800 crore under Namami Gange. He also laid the foundation for sanitation, water supply, and STP projects worth ₹3,000 crore.

Power and Housing for the People

He announced a 500 MWh Battery Energy Storage System at 15 substations, including in Muzaffarpur, Bettiah, and Siwan. This will lower electricity costs during peak hours.

Over 53,600 people received their first housing installment under PMAY-Urban. Another 6,600 families celebrated their symbolic Grih Pravesh. Modi promised three crore more homes will be built.

Political Fireworks at the Rally

Modi said, “The ‘panja-lantern’ alliance looted Bihar and pushed it into darkness. Today, Bihar powers Africa’s trains.” He urged people to reject the return of ‘Jungle Raj’ and vote for growth with the NDA.

The NDA, he claimed, brought electricity to 1.5 crore homes, built 55,000 km of rural roads, and set up 45,000 Common Service Centres.

Modi’s Vision for Bihar’s Rise

He connected Bihar’s progress to India’s global rise. “I won’t rest until every family in Bihar lives with dignity,” he said.

He recalled the vision of Rajendra Prasad and Brajkishore Prasad. Bihar, he emphasized, will lead India’s journey toward becoming an economic superpower.

This visit marked a key moment in the BJP’s campaign. Modi mixed policy announcements with political messaging to connect with the people.
