Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to participate in Jahan-e-Khusrau 2025, the grand Sufi music festival, on February 28 at Sunder Nursery in New Delhi. This year marks a significant milestone for the festival as it celebrates its 25th anniversary, continuing its tradition of bringing together artists from across the world to honor the rich legacy of Amir Khusrau, the revered poet, musician, and scholar.
A strong advocate for India’s diverse cultural heritage, the Prime Minister’s presence at the festival underscores his commitment to promoting traditional arts and music. Jahan-e-Khusrau, organized by the Rumi Foundation and founded by renowned filmmaker and artist Muzaffar Ali in 2001, has grown into an internationally recognized platform dedicated to Sufi music, poetry, and dance. The event, scheduled from February 28 to March 2, will showcase soul-stirring performances that highlight the universal themes of love, harmony, and spirituality that define Sufi traditions.
Adding to the cultural experience, the Prime Minister will also visit the TEH Bazaar (The Exploration of the Handmade), a special exhibition featuring crafts under the One District-One Product initiative. The bazaar will present exquisite artifacts from across the country, along with short films that celebrate India’s rich heritage in handicrafts and handlooms.
