PM Modi to Launch Rs 42,000 Cr Agriculture Schemes

RR Team, October 11, 2025October 11, 2025
New Delhi: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will participate in a special Krishi programme at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) in New Delhi on 11th October 2025 at 10:30 AM. During the event, the PM will interact with farmers and address the gathering to highlight key initiatives in agriculture and allied sectors.
The programme marks a significant step toward farmer welfare, agricultural self-reliance, and strengthening rural infrastructure. PM Modi will launch two major schemes with a combined outlay of Rs 35,440 crore. The PM Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana, with Rs 24,000 crore, aims to enhance agricultural productivity, promote crop diversification, improve post-harvest storage, expand irrigation, and facilitate both long-term and short-term credit across 100 selected districts.

In addition, the Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses with an outlay of Rs 11,440 crore aims to boost pulse productivity, increase cultivation areas, strengthen the value chain—including procurement, storage, and processing—and reduce post-harvest losses.

Farmer Engagement and Milestones

The event will include interaction with farmers engaged in pulses cultivation, many of whom have benefited from government schemes and membership in Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs). PM Modi will distribute certificates to farmers certified under the National Mission for Natural Farming, MAITRI technicians, and PACS converted into Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samriddhi Kendras (PMKSKs) and Common Service Centres (CSCs).

Significant milestones include over 50 lakh farmer memberships in 10,000 FPOs, 1,100 FPOs achieving annual turnover above ₹1 crore in 2024-25, certification of 50,000 farmers under the National Mission for Natural Farming, certification of 38,000 MAITRI technicians, and operationalization of over 10,000 e-PACS and PMKSKs.
