PM Modi to Visit Andhra Pradesh & Tamil Nadu on Nov 19

RR Team, November 19, 2025November 18, 2025
New Delhi, 18 November 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu on 19 November to participate in the Centenary celebrations of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi and to inaugurate the South India Natural Farming Summit 2025 in Coimbatore. The Prime Minister will also release the 21st instalment under the PM-KISAN scheme — a transfer of over ₹18,000 crore benefiting nine crore farmers nationwide.

Morning: Puttaparthi  Centenary and Commemorative Release

At around 10:00 AM, the Prime Minister will visit the holy shrine and Mahasamadhi of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi to offer his respects. Shortly after, at approximately 10:30 AM, he will take part in the Centenary Celebrations and release a commemorative coin and a set of postage stamps honouring the life and teachings of Sathya Sai Baba.

Mr Modi will address the gathering in Puttaparthi, reflecting on the social and spiritual legacy of the leader whose institutions continue to provide healthcare, education and community services across India.

Afternoon: Coimbatore  Natural Farming Summit and PM-KISAN Release

Following the Puttaparthi programme, the Prime Minister will proceed to Coimbatore to inaugurate the South India Natural Farming Summit 2025 at around 1:30 PM. The three-day summit (19–21 November) is organised by the Tamil Nadu Natural Farming Stakeholders Forum and seeks to accelerate adoption of sustainable, chemical-free farming practices across the region.

During the event, the Prime Minister will release the 21st instalment of PM-KISAN — an amount exceeding ₹18,000 crore — directly transferring benefits to nearly 9 crore small and marginal farmers. He will also address participants, including farmers, natural farming practitioners, scientists and entrepreneurs.

Summit Focus: Sustainable Farming and Market Linkages

The South India Natural Farming Summit will showcase innovations in organic inputs, agro-processing, eco-friendly packaging and indigenous farming technologies. It aims to create market linkages for farmer-producer organisations and rural entrepreneurs, providing pathways for natural-farming produce to reach larger markets.

Organisers expect over 50,000 participants from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Puducherry — farmers, practitioners, input suppliers, scientists and NGOs — to attend. The summit will host technical sessions, product demonstrations and buyer-seller meets focused on scaling regenerative agriculture across southern India.

Why the visit matters

The combined schedule underscores the government’s dual focus on cultural outreach and agrarian reforms. The commemorative releases in Puttaparthi mark a high-profile cultural event, while the Coimbatore summit highlights policy priorities — sustainable agriculture, farmer incomes and market integration.

PM-KISAN remains one of the flagship farmer welfare initiatives, transferring direct income support to eligible landholding farmers. The 21st instalment release ahead of the summit is intended to provide immediate liquidity and reinforce agricultural livelihoods as the country transitions toward climate-resilient practices.

Participation and expected outcomes

The summit will facilitate knowledge exchange between grassroots practitioners and researchers, encourage adoption of low-input farming methods and showcase successful natural farming models. Planners expect outcomes to include increased market access for producer groups, new business linkages, and commitments to expand natural-farming acreage in participating states.

For official details and updates on the Prime Minister’s schedule and PM-KISAN releases, readers may consult the Press Information Bureau and the PM-KISAN portal.
