During his visit, Modi will engage in bilateral discussions with Macron to review the progress of the 2047 Horizon Roadmap, a long-term strategic partnership between India and France. A particularly historic moment will be the inauguration of the first Indian Consulate in France, located in Marseille. Modi will also visit the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) project, where India, along with France and other global partners, is working on harnessing sustainable energy for the future. In a deeply symbolic gesture, he will pay tribute to the Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives in World Wars I and II at the Mazargues War Cemetery.
Following his engagements in France, Modi will head to the United States for a two-day visit at the invitation of President Donald Trump. This meeting holds special significance as it marks their first official interaction since Trump’s recent electoral victory and inauguration. Reflecting on their previous collaboration, Modi recalled their efforts in strengthening the Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership between India and the U.S. during Trump’s first term.
