The RSS encourages devotion to the motherland, self-discipline, courage, and heroism, aspiring for the “Sarvangeena Unnati” (all-round development) of India. Its volunteers, known as Swayamsevaks, dedicate themselves to the service of the nation while engaging in educational, social welfare, and disaster relief activities.
RSS has been actively involved in relief and rehabilitation during natural calamities such as floods, earthquakes, and cyclones. Its affiliated organisations have also worked to empower youth, women, and farmers, promoting public particpation and strengthening local communities across India.

The centenary celebrations not only honour the historical achievements of the RSS but also underline its lasting contributions to India’s cultural journey and message of national unity. The commemorative stamp and coin being released by PM Modi serve as symbols of the organisation’s enduring legacy and its role in shaping the nation’s social and cultural landscape.
