- PM Gati Shakti Projects – To improve logistics and connectivity.
- Sewerage and Water Projects – As part of urban development schemes.
₹5,000 Crore Projects in West Bengal
In West Bengal, the PM launched projects worth ₹5,000 crore with a focus on fisheries, LPG connectivity, and urban waste management. Key initiatives:
- PM Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) – Upgrading fisheries sector infrastructure.
- City Gas Distribution Project – Enhancing clean fuel access in urban and rural homes.
- Solid Waste Management Facilities – Promoting waste segregation and sustainable cities.
Strengthening Regional Development
These projects are expected to generate thousands of jobs and promote economic opportunities in semi-urban and rural areas. The inauguration of the PM Urja Ganga Pipeline segment in Bengal will further fuel the growth of industrial clusters.
Vision for Viksit Bharat
PM Modi emphasized that these investments are aligned with his government’s goal of building a “Viksit Bharat” by 2047. He stated that empowering the eastern states is key to achieving inclusive and balanced national growth.
