PM-YUVA 3.0 Results Declared: 43 Young Authors Selected

RR Team, December 30, 2025December 30, 2025
The National Book Trust (NBT), India, under the Ministry of Education, has declared the results of the Prime Minister’s Scheme for Mentoring Young Authors (PM-YUVA 3.0). The scheme aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and aims to encourage young writers to contribute to nation-building through their literary work.

Diverse Language Participation

Under PM-YUVA 3.0, 43 young authors below the age of 30 were selected through an All-India contest. The chosen authors represent 22 official Indian languages and English, including Assamese, Bangla, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Maithili, Nepali, Odia, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. Out of the selected authors, 19 are women and 24 are men, highlighting the scheme’s inclusive approach to nurturing literary talent.

Mentorship and Scholarships

Each selected author will undergo a six-month mentorship under eminent scholars to develop their book proposals into full manuscripts. Additionally, they will receive a scholarship of Rs 50,000 per month and a lifetime royalty of 10% on their published book, providing both guidance and financial support for emerging writers.

Themes and Focus Areas

The PM-YUVA 3.0 themes include the Contribution of Indian Diaspora in Nation Building, Indian Knowledge System, and Makers of Modern India (1950–2025). The selected manuscripts are non-fiction works covering topics such as history, culture, science, philosophy, governance, social reform, and India’s global engagement.

National Camp and Publication

A National Camp for the selected authors will be organised during the upcoming New Delhi World Book Fair, scheduled from 10–18 January 2026. The first set of books under PM-YUVA 3.0 will be published next year, aiming to cultivate a new generation of writers who will represent Indian literature and thought both domestically and internationally.
