Patna, January 15, 2025 – Prashant Kishor, the founder of Jan Suraaj, may end his indefinite hunger strike within the next 48 hours, according to a party announcement on Tuesday. Kishor has been fasting since January 2, protesting alleged irregularities in the 70th Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) preliminary examination.
Meanwhile, the district administration granted the party permission to set up tents along the banks of the Ganga River, albeit with specific conditions. Party spokesperson Vivek Kumar confirmed receiving the approval on Tuesday.
Kishor’s indefinite fast has drawn significant attention to the alleged examination irregularities, highlighting issues of fairness and transparency in the recruitment process. His protest has garnered widespread support from students and activists across the state.
The next 48 hours are expected to be critical as the resolution of this issue could bring an end to Kishor’s nearly two-week-long fast.
