President Murmu Highlights Tribal Empowerment

New Delhi, 18 October 2025 – The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, addressed the National Conclave on the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan today, emphasizing the importance of inclusive tribal development, self-reliance, and participatory governance. The event recognized exemplary performers across states, districts, and tribal development agencies for their contributions to tribal empowerment.

Inclusive Governance and Tribal Participation

In her address, President Murmu highlighted that the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan reflects India’s national commitment to participatory governance. She stressed that empowering Gram Sabhas and community-led institutions allows tribal communities to shape national policies and ensure that development reaches all regions. President Murmu noted that the government has expanded infrastructure in tribal areas, including residential schools and scholarship programs, integrating tribal youth into mainstream education.
