“President Inaugurates Amrit Udyan Winter Edition 2025, Opens to Public from February 2”

RR Team, February 1, 2025February 1, 2025

On February 1, 2025, the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, had the honor of inaugurating the Amrit Udyan Winter Annuals Edition 2025. Starting February 2, the Amrit Udyan will be open to the public for viewing until March 30, 2025. Visitors can explore the garden six days a week, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with Mondays designated as maintenance days. The Udyan will also be closed on specific dates, including February 5 due to Delhi Legislative Assembly elections, February 20 and 21 for the Visitors’ Conference at Rashtrapati Bhavan, and March 14 for Holi.

The garden will host special events for certain groups on specific days. March 26 will be dedicated to Divyangjan (persons with disabilities), March 27 for defense, paramilitary, and police personnel, March 28 for women and tribal women’s SHGs (self-help groups), and March 29 for senior citizens.

Entry to the Amrit Udyan is free, and visitors can make reservations online at https://visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in, with walk-ins also welcome. All visitors are to enter and exit through Gate No. 35 of the President’s Estate, which is near North Avenue and Rashtrapati Bhavan. To make the visit easier, a shuttle bus service will operate every 30 minutes between 9:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., running from Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate No. 35.

During their visit, people can carry items like mobile phones, water bottles, and infant milk bottles, and essential amenities such as drinking water, toilets, and medical facilities will be available throughout the garden. The route includes the Bal Vatika, Plumeria theme Garden, Bonsai Garden, Central Lawn, Long Garden, and Circular Garden, and visitors can scan QR codes for detailed information about the displays. This year, in addition to tulips, the garden will feature 140 varieties of roses and over 80 other types of flowers.

Rashtrapati Bhavan will also celebrate Vividhta Ka Amrit Mahotsav from March 6 to 9, 2025, showcasing the vibrant cultural heritage and unique traditions of Southern India.

Alongside the Amrit Udyan, visitors can explore Rashtrapati Bhavan and the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum from Tuesday to Sunday, with the Change-of-Guard Ceremony held every Saturday, except on gazetted holidays. More information about visiting the Udyan and Rashtrapati Bhavan is available online.
