President Launches Key MSME Reforms on MSME Day 2025

On June 27, 2025, India marked MSME Day 2025 – Udyami Bharat at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, led the celebrations. She applauded the MSME sector’s key role in building a strong and inclusive economy.


🌟 Key Announcements and Launches

The President introduced several big initiatives to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). These aim to simplify business and boost innovation.


1. 🎖 CGTMSE’s 25-Year Stamp

To honor 25 years of the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE), the President released a special postage stamp.

Since launch, CGTMSE has backed over 1.18 crore credit guarantees worth ₹9.80 lakh crore. Notably, it supported ₹3 lakh crore in loans in 2024–25 alone.


2. ⚖️ Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Portal

Delayed payments have hurt many small businesses. To fix this, the MSME Ministry launched a new Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Portal.

This portal lets MSEs resolve payment issues online—fast, fairly, and from anywhere. It will ease doing business and help unlock stuck capital.


3. 💡 MSME Hackathon 5.0 Launch

The President also launched MSME Hackathon 5.0 and shared the results of Hackathon 4.0.

Under the MSME Champions Scheme, selected ideas will receive grants up to ₹15 lakh. This supports new tech, ideas, and startups—fostering the vision of Atma Nirbhar Bharat.


4. 📰 MSME Patrika & Know Your Lender Booklet

She also launched ‘MSME Patrika’, a new magazine to share updates, stories, and expert tips for small businesses.

Alongside, the ‘Know Your Lender’ booklet offers guidance to help MSMEs understand credit options and secure funding smartly.
