President Murmu to Visit Chhattisgarh, Telangana & Andhra

RR Team, November 20, 2025November 19, 2025
President of India Smt Droupadi Murmu is set to embark on a three-day visit to Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh from November 20 to 22, 2025. The visit will include participation in significant national cultural celebrations and spiritual gatherings, showcasing India’s diverse traditions and rich heritage.According to the schedule released by the President’s Secretariat and the Press Information Bureau, the President will attend three major events across the states, beginning with Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, followed by the inauguration of Bharatiya Kala Mahotsav, and concluding with a centenary tribute event dedicated to Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Day 1: President to Grace Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas in Ambikapur

On November 20, President Murmu will reach Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh to attend the state-level celebration of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas. The programme, organised by the Chhattisgarh government, honours the struggles, contributions, and sacrifices of India’s tribal freedom fighters.

The event is aligned with the national observance introduced in 2021 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and to recognise the role of tribal communities in India’s nation-building journey. The President’s presence underscores the Centre’s continued emphasis on tribal welfare, empowerment, and inclusive development.

Over the past few years, Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas has become a key cultural moment in states with significant tribal populations, and Ambikapur is expected to witness large gatherings, cultural performances, and community-led exhibitions.

Day 2: Inauguration of Bharatiya Kala Mahotsav 2025 in Secunderabad

On November 21, the President will inaugurate the second edition of the Bharatiya Kala Mahotsav 2025 at Rashtrapati Nilayam, Bolarum, Secunderabad. The cultural festival is designed to highlight India’s artistic lineage and regional diversity through performances, exhibitions, craft showcases, and culinary traditions.

This year’s edition will spotlight the cultural richness of six regions—Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Goa, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, and Daman & Diu. The Mahotsav, first launched in 2024, aims to promote traditional artisans, support local culinary heritage, and create an interactive platform for artists and visitors.

Rashtrapati Nilayam, one of the three official presidential retreats, will be transformed into a vibrant cultural space featuring folk art, classical performances, regional cuisine counters, and artisan workshops throughout the festival.

Day 3: President to Attend Sri Sathya Sai Baba Centenary Event

On November 22, the President will travel to Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh to participate in a special session marking the centenary celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba at Prasanthi Nilayam. The event is expected to draw thousands of devotees from across India and abroad.

Sri Sathya Sai Baba, revered globally for his spiritual teachings and humanitarian initiatives, continues to inspire millions. The President’s participation highlights the continued national reverence for his contributions in education, healthcare, and spiritual upliftment.

The centenary celebrations include bhajans, cultural presentations, social service exhibitions, and spiritual discourses, making it one of the most anticipated events of the year for the Sai community.

Significance of the Multi-State Presidential Visit

The three-day itinerary demonstrates the President’s active engagement with India’s cultural, tribal, and spiritual domains. Each event reflects a different dimension of India’s identity—tribal heritage, artistic excellence, and spiritual legacy.

Government sources described the visit as an opportunity to strengthen national unity and promote diverse regional traditions. The events are backed by major public participation and coordination between state and central agencies.
