President Murmu’s 51 Inspiring Speeches Released in New Book

President Murmu’s Vision Now in Print: 51 Speeches Released in New Book

On June 24, 2025, Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh unveiled “Wings to Our Hopes (Volume-II)”, a powerful collection of 51 speeches by President Smt Droupadi Murmu. The launch event took place at Rashtrapati Bhavan, with Union Ministers Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw and Shri L Murugan also present. The book, available in Hindi and English, captures the President’s thoughts during her second year in office (August 2023–July 2024).

The book offers deep insights into her ideas on governance, equality, innovation, and nation-building. Its release marks an important step toward documenting India’s changing narrative from the lens of its First Citizen.

A Roadmap for Viksit Bharat

Raksha Mantri described the collection as a blueprint for India’s journey to become a developed nation by 2047. He called it a reflection of the government’s commitment to inclusive development that blends modern progress with cultural heritage.

“This book will become a guiding light to build Viksit Bharat, preserving our glorious traditions while embracing progressive thought,” said Shri Rajnath Singh.

He praised the President’s emphasis on diversity, morality, and public service. Her speeches advocate for a sensitive justice system, innovation in development, and service-minded governance—core pillars of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for India.

Women-Led Development in Action

Shri Singh hailed President Murmu as a shining example of women-led development. As the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, she stands as a symbol of strength and inspiration. Her presence empowered Indian soldiers during Operation Sindoor, a historic anti-terror mission that achieved all objectives.

He also noted her relentless efforts toward social justice and empowerment of the underprivileged. Her life journey, from a remote tribal village to the highest office of the land, is a testament to perseverance, education, and equality.

Human Touch, Deep Impact

Union I&B Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw described the volume as more than a compilation—it is a lens into India’s soul. The President’s speeches are filled with empathy and resolve. Her address on June 20, 2025, at the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities in Dehradun, left many moved, especially when she praised the children’s performances with heartfelt simplicity.

“Her sensitivity and spirit of service inspire every Indian,” Vaishnaw remarked.

A Chronicle of Changing India

The book covers diverse themes—from innovation and sustainability to gender equality and ancient traditions. President Murmu speaks of the need to balance science with spirituality, and education with ethics. This wide scope, as Shri Rajnath Singh noted, mirrors India’s own evolving character.

Published by the Publications Division of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, the book was compiled by Rashtrapati Bhavan. It continues the legacy of Volume-I, reflecting India’s public discourse and aspirations through the President’s words.

Legacy for Future Generations

Both ministers expressed hope that this book would educate and inspire youth, especially public servants, educators, and policymakers. It stands as a living document of values and vision, aligned with India’s global role and domestic transformation.
