Prime Minister Applauds Conservation Efforts Under ‘Project Lion’ in Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed heartfelt appreciation for the ongoing efforts under ‘Project Lion’, a dedicated initiative aimed at the conservation and well-being of Asiatic lions in Gujarat. His remarks came in response to a post shared by Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, who highlighted the positive impact of the project on the region’s wildlife.

The Prime Minister, in a message shared on X, said, “बहुत उत्साहित करने वाली जानकारी! यह देखकर बेहद खुशी हो रही है कि ‘प्रोजेक्ट लॉयन’ के तहत किए जा रहे प्रयासों से गुजरात में शेरों को अनुकूल माहौल मिलने के साथ ही उनका संरक्षण भी सुनिश्चित हो रहा है।”

This translates to, “Very encouraging information! It brings immense joy to see that under ‘Project Lion’, efforts are being made to provide a favourable environment for lions in Gujarat while also ensuring their protection.”

Project Lion represents India’s commitment to wildlife preservation and biodiversity. It reflects a broader vision of coexistence and environmental stewardship, and the Prime Minister’s words resonate with the pride and cultural reverence India holds for its majestic wildlife. The project continues to gain momentum with coordinated efforts from the central and state governments, forest officials, and local communities, all playing a critical role in securing a future for the iconic species.
