A sense of mourning and sorrow prevails following a tragic fire incident in Solapur, Maharashtra, that claimed several lives and left many others injured. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed profound grief over the heartbreaking incident, extending his condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones in the unfortunate tragedy.
In a message shared on social media, the Prime Minister conveyed his heartfelt sympathies and wished a swift and full recovery for those who sustained injuries. Aware of the emotional and financial pain such a loss brings, he announced an ex-gratia payment from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF). Families of the deceased will receive ₹2 lakh each, while those injured in the fire will be provided ₹50,000 to help with medical treatment and immediate needs.
The gesture, while small in the face of deep personal loss, reflects the nation’s solidarity with the grieving families. Moments like these remind us of the fragility of life and the importance of standing together in support and compassion during times of sorrow.
