Key Train Schedules
The New Delhi-Darbhanga special will run daily from September 29 to December 1, departing New Delhi at 3:10 PM and reaching Darbhanga at 4:30 PM the next day. On its return, it leaves Darbhanga at 6:15 PM and reaches New Delhi at 11 PM via Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Chhapra, and Gorakhpur.
The New Delhi-Mansi train operates from September 29 to December 2, departing New Delhi at 8 PM and reaching Mansi at 11:30 PM. Its return journey leaves Mansi at 1:10 AM, arriving in New Delhi the following day at 3 AM.
The Anand Vihar-Bhagalpur train will run from September 20 to December 1, departing Anand Vihar at 1:40 PM, reaching Patna at 5:55 AM, and Bhagalpur at 2:30 PM the next day. The return journey leaves Bhagalpur at 6 PM and arrives at Anand Vihar by 10 PM.
Additionally, weekly services include the Delhi-Bhagalpur train (Sept 23 to Nov 26) and daily services between Anand Vihar and Sitamarhi, Jogbani, Jaynagar, and Rajgir to manage the festival rush.

Temporary Festival Stoppages

During the Pitripaksha Mela (Sept 6–21), railways have arranged temporary two-minute halts for 10 pairs of passenger trains at Punpun Ghat and five pairs at Anugrah Narayan Ghat. This measure will facilitate easy access for devotees attending the festival.
Trains stopping at Punpun Ghat include Patna-Bhabhua Road Intercity, Patna-Barkakana Palamu, Singhrauli-Patna, and Rajgir-Varanasi Budhpurnima. At Anugrah Narayan Ghat, trains such as Gaya-Dehri on Sone, Asansol-Varanasi, and Dhanbad-Sasaram Intercity will halt briefly.
Passenger Advisory
Saraswati Chandra, ECR’s Chief Public Relations Officer, urged passengers to book tickets in advance and stay updated on train timings. The special trains will follow strict schedules to ensure minimal delays and smooth travel for festival-goers.
