Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh Meets Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow

On December 10, 2024, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, during the 21st session of the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military and Military Technical Cooperation (IRIGC-M&MTC). The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral defence ties between the two countries.

the meeting, Rajnath Singh conveyed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s warm greetings to President Putin. Both leaders discussed various aspects of defence cooperation and expressed a mutual belief in the immense potential of their partnership. They emphasized that continued collaboration would yield significant outcomes for both nations.

Rajnath Singh reiterated the deep and enduring friendship between India and Russia, stating, “The friendship between our countries is higher than the highest mountain and deeper than the deepest ocean.” He assured President Putin that India would remain a steadfast friend to Russia in the future.
