India marked its 76th Republic Day on January 26, 2025, with grand celebrations at Kartavya Path in New Delhi. The day began with Prime Minister Narendra Modi paying homage to fallen soldiers at the National War Memorial. Continuing his tradition of wearing iconic turbans for the occasion, PM Modi donned a saffron and red safa, paired with a brown bandhgala coat and a cream churidar-kurta set.

2024: Last year, PM Modi wore a vibrant Bandhani print turban in saffron, pink, white, and yellow, matched with a white cotton kurta-pyjama and a brown sadri jacket.
2023: He opted for a colorful pheta featuring orange, red, green, yellow, and white patterns. This was paired with a cream churidar-kurta, a black bandhgala coat, and a silk scarf.
2022: The 73rd Republic Day saw him wearing a grey check-embroidered jacket and a traditional Uttarakhand cap adorned with a Brahma Kamal-inspired brooch, honoring the state flower of Uttarakhand.
2021: PM Modi sported a vibrant red Halari Pagdi gifted by the royal family of Jamnagar, Gujarat. He paired it with a grey jacket, white kurta-pyjama, and an embroidered shawl.
2020: The PM wore a saffron Bandhej turban with a tail, showcasing the tie-dye tradition of Rajasthan and Gujarat.
2019: His choice was a yellowish-orange turban with a red tail, paired with a brown jacket and cream churidar-kurta.
