The Rural Health Training Centre (RHTC), Najafgarh, made a strong and people-centric impact at Bharat Parv–2026 by actively promoting preventive healthcare, public awareness, and community participation through a series of interactive and
educational initiatives. The six-day national cultural and tourism festival is being
held from January 26 to January 31, 2026, at the historic Red Fort Lawns and Gyan Path
in New Delhi as part of the Republic Day celebrations.
Hands-On CPR Training Draws Massive Public Interest
One of the most engaging attractions at the RHTC Najafgarh stall was the live
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) demonstration sessions. Visitors
from all age groups actively participated, learning essential life-saving techniques
under the guidance of trained medical professionals.
The initiative aimed to enhance public preparedness during medical emergencies by
empowering citizens with basic yet critical skills. Many visitors expressed keen interest in understanding emergency response measures, highlighting the growing awareness about first-aid and preventive healthcare among the public.
Ayurvedic and Holistic Health Consultations
In addition to emergency healthcare education, RHTC Najafgarh offered Ayurvedic consultations through its in-house doctor. Visitors received guidance on traditional and holistic approaches to maintaining physical and mental well-being, reflecting the growing acceptance of integrative healthcare practices.
Health consultations focusing on nutrition, balanced diets, mental health, and general wellness were also conducted. These sessions emphasised the importance of preventive care and lifestyle management in reducing long-term health risks.
Interactive Health Quizzes and ASHA Awareness
To make health education more engaging, the centre organised daily health quizzes that tested visitors’ knowledge on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention. Participants were rewarded with small goodies, creating a
lively and encouraging learning environment.
A special attraction was the “Know Your ASHAs” corner, which highlighted the pivotal role of Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) in strengthening grassroots healthcare delivery. The initiative helped visitors understand how ASHA workers act as a vital link between communities and the public health system.
Vibrant Participation Throughout the Festival
The RHTC Najafgarh stall witnessed enthusiastic participation throughout the six days of Bharat Parv–2026. Families, students, tourists, and senior citizens engaged actively with healthcare professionals, creating an energetic and positive atmosphere that reinforced the message of health awareness and preventive care.
The sustained footfall reflected the public’s growing interest in accessible,
community-driven health education initiatives showcased in an informal and inclusive
setting.
Educational Exposure for ANM Students
As part of its academic outreach, RHTC Najafgarh facilitated an educational visit for
students of the ANM Training School. The visit aimed to familiarise students with key government health initiatives and public welfare programmes.
Students also had the opportunity to experience India’s rich cultural diversity on display at Bharat Parv, helping bridge classroom learning with real-world public health communication and community engagement.
Aligning Health Awareness with Bharat Parv’s Spirit
Through its consistent engagement across all six days, RHTC Najafgarh demonstrated
its commitment to community health education, preventive care, and public outreach.
The initiatives aligned seamlessly with the broader spirit of Bharat Parv, which
celebrates India’s inclusive, people-centric development.
By combining healthcare awareness with cultural celebration, the centre successfully
conveyed the message that a healthy society is fundamental to sustainable national
progress.
