SAI LNCPE Pushes Vision 2036 Through Khelo Bharat NITI 2025
The Sports Authority of India (SAI) Regional Centre at LNCPE, Thiruvananthapuram, hosted a Media Conclave to brief leading Kerala-based media organizations on the Khelo Bharat NITI 2025—India’s newly approved National Sports Policy 2025.
The event brought together top coaches, high-performance directors, academics, and media leaders, creating a shared platform to amplify India’s sporting vision.
The new policy rests on five key pillars that define India’s vision for a sports-led future:

Excellence on the Global Stage aims to make India a top performer at international events, including the Olympics.

Through Sports for Economic Development, the policy envisions job creation, entrepreneurship, and industry growth linked to the sports ecosystem.

Social Inclusion and Empowerment through sports seeks to uplift underrepresented communities and bridge socio-economic gaps.

By promoting Sports as a People’s Movement, the government hopes to make physical activity a part of every citizen’s daily life.

Finally, Harmony with the National Education Policy 2020 ensures that sports and physical education become an integral part of academic growth.

Dr. Kishore strongly highlighted the media’s role as a force multiplier. He called upon journalists to support policy outreach and showcase success stories at the grassroots level. “Media can inspire participation, break stereotypes, and turn sport into a people’s movement,” he said.
The conclave concluded with a lively Open House Q&A, where journalists raised questions about policy rollouts, regional sports infrastructure, and career opportunities in sports science.
