This year’s topper, Ms. Shakti Dubey, stood out not just for her academic excellence but also for her determined journey through the highly competitive examination. A graduate in Biochemistry from the University of Allahabad, she secured the first rank with Political Science & International Relations as her optional subject. Her achievement reflects the aspiration and resilience of countless young Indians aiming to serve the nation through civil services.
The top ranks this year also featured strong performances from women, with three of the top five positions secured by female candidates. Harshita Goyal, a commerce graduate from MS University of Baroda, claimed the second rank, while Shah Margi Chirag, an engineering graduate from Gujarat Technological University, secured the fourth position. This is a heartening indication of the growing representation of women in the country’s bureaucracy.
Dongre Archit Parag, a B.Tech. graduate from VIT Vellore, ranked third with Philosophy as his optional subject, and Aakash Garg, a computer science graduate from GGSIPU, Delhi, secured the fifth rank with Sociology.

Their alma maters include some of India’s premier institutions such as IITs, NITs, VIT, JNU, University of Delhi, and University of Allahabad.
A noteworthy aspect of this year’s result is the inclusion of 45 candidates with benchmark disabilities. This includes individuals with orthopedic, visual, hearing, and multiple impairments, reflecting UPSC’s inclusive approach and commitment to equal opportunity.
The UPSC has also maintained a consolidated reserve list of 230 candidates, and appointments to services will be made in accordance with the availability of vacancies and as per the examination rules. A facilitation counter at the UPSC office remains open for candidates seeking clarification, and results are also available on the official UPSC website.
The announcement of these results marks not only the beginning of a new chapter for the successful candidates but also serves as an inspiration to lakhs of aspirants across the country. It’s a reminder that with determination, hard work, and perseverance, even the most challenging dreams can be achieved.
