Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal Launches LIMBS “Live Cases” Dashboard

The Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law and Justice, today unveiled the “Live Cases” Dashboard under the Legal Information Management and Briefing System (LIMBS) at Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi. The event was inaugurated by Union Minister of State (I/C) for Law and Justice, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal.
Shri Meghwal hailed the initiative as a crucial step towards improving transparency, accountability, and efficiency in government litigation management. The dashboard provides real-time visualization of ongoing court cases, enabling timely decision-making and better coordination across Ministries and Departments.

Key Features of the LIMBS Dashboard

The LIMBS “Live Cases” Dashboard aggregates data from 53 Ministries and Departments, currently monitoring over 7,23,123 active cases. The platform allows 13,175 Ministry users and 18,458 advocates to update and track case progress regularly.

The dashboard offers an overview of upcoming hearings, case statuses, and related analytics. By providing a centralized, data-driven view, it supports proactive management of litigation and aids in minimizing delays. This aligns with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s emphasis on reducing government litigation efficiently.

Enhancing Governance Through Technology

The LIMBS initiative is a significant milestone in India’s digital governance journey. By leveraging technology, the system facilitates improved legal case monitoring, inter-ministerial coordination, and evidence-based decision-making.

Senior officials, including Union Law Secretary Dr. Anju Rathi Rana, attended the launch along with representatives from various Ministries and Departments, emphasizing the government’s commitment to digitizing administrative processes and strengthening institutional transparency.
